Lincoln County Opioid Task Force Seeking Partners From The Community

LINCOLN – Lincoln County’s Opioid Task Force is currently in search of two community members who have been affected by the Opioid epidemic to join
their team as partners, giving them a voice for the many who are impacted by the opioid crisis.

Lincoln County has agreed to accept several opioid settlement payouts resulting from larger nationwide lawsuits. The funds received do come with stipulations as they are typically allocated towards opioid remediation through prevention, awareness or treatment.

The Task force is currently made up of members representing law enforcement, health, local schools, and social services. It was formed to gather information and then create a proposal recommending where the opioid settlement dollars should be spent. Those interested in partnering with the task force in this unique role should visit the Lincoln County Website, where they can complete a short survey.
